World War Spreadsheet v2.4

Rock! ** ** 7/20 Update: ALL Units/Missions complete up till level 100 ** New Features Version 2.x of the World War Live Cheat Sheet allows you to enter in information for an opponent or for testing "what-if" scenarios. The additional information is optional but can be very useful for testing different configurations or figuring out why you lost to an opponent. Cheat Sheet Overview The World War Cheat Sheet is the most effective way to optimize your game strategy. It was designed for simplicity and provides the most important information in an easy to understand "Dashboard". It provides automatic calculations for:
Usage Instructions: The main worksheet or "Dashboard" is the only place that requires any user input. Just fill in the light green highlighted cells with the appropriate information. Make sure you put in your current level and alliance members as this determines what buildings are available for purchase and how many units are usable when fighting. Optionally, you can fill in the light red cells with an opponent's information or -- the way I generally use it -- to view "what-if" scenarios when deciding to upgrade/downgrade units or optimize for attack/defense. On the right side of the dashboard will be all the automatic calculations. Double check the Income section as those numbers should match your profile if everything was entered correctly. The spreadsheet automatically recommends the next Income Building or Defense Building purchase based upon the highest ROI %. After you make a purchase, make sure to update the number of buildings that you own in the Dashboard so the next recommendation can be calculated. Fighting calculates attack/defense points based on the same system World War uses. ---------------- For detailed information on Buildings, Units and Missions, just select the relevant worksheet and you can see detailed information on each of these areas. ** Important ** Do not change any other cells as the calculations may no longer function. Your feedback, suggestions, criticisms are all welcome. My goal is to make this as useful as possible for everyone. |

Awesome spreadsheet SK8 only one thing i noticed. I hit level 14 and there is no M80 Stiletto ship in the spreadsheet. It has an attack of 15 defence of 35 and an upkeep of 4500..it costs 320 000 to buy.

However, if there is enough interest, I will see about including them in the spreadsheet. Also, if anyone has specs on the promo loot RQ-1 Predator and/or Flame Tank, please post. Thanks! |

I am somewhat of a fanatic myself with the creation and management of a spreadsheet to effectively play this game. I have independently developed one that does all of what yours does, save for mission management, and then a little more. However, you will find the similarities humorous. A link to my document can be found here: http://drop.io/worldwarcalc I'd like to invite you to collaborate on an improved version that combines the enhanced core I have developed) with your visual interface. I like your interface a lot, it's a lot easier on the eyes. If you are interested, message me about it. Progress will go a lot faster if the two of us can contribute to this. You, as the primary author and host of this document will remain the version controller, but you may think of me as a collaborative extension of your efforts. Suggested areas of collaboration would be something like: Embedded strategy informative metrics that provide actions for.. How good does my defense need to be? How do I mitigate risk? What is the probability of winning? (I've been working on a formulation) How do my Player Points affect the outcome? Conditional formatting would help you communicate a lot of your unit metrics that are difficult to extract information from. On your page you provided the ability to assess an opponent which is nice but you know from experience that most of the time we're just interested in base defense and the heavy hitters. For this, your interface is cluttered and inefficient. I'm not saying mine is any better, I've already pointed out I liked your interface a lot more that I like my own, but these are some areas that if I was going to improve my own I would look at. You wouldn't happen to be a mechanical engineer too would you? Haha, that would just be too odd... Cheers mate, Jason |

I will take a look when I get some free time. I am always looking for ways to improve functionality and already have some planned features but welcome working with other people. However, my goal is always to keep things user friendly and intuitive (the Apple approach ) even if it does limit some (rarely used) functionality.For extreme examples, look at Loki's masterpiece for Kingdoms Live/Dragon Masters or Stereosound's for Mafia Live (aka Mark of Mafia). |

Here's what the gang at the official forum came up with for unison999's list.
Heavy Machine Gunners - Level: 26 Heavy Assault Squad - Level: 60 Railgun Troopers - Level: 80 Armored Snow Hovercraft - Level: 30 Hellfire Tank - Level: 70 Helicopter Carrier - Level: 20 X-20 Supersonic Aircraft - Level: 25 I know it seems weird to get 2 ground units unlocked at the same level, but they believe these 2 both come at level 22. Heavy Equipment Transporter - Level: 22 Amphibious Assault Vehicle - Level: 22 Everything else matches our data. Nice Spreadsheet!!! |
